The Littlest Lessard - Prelude

You already know I am a big fan of the show, "The Biggest Loser". I watch it most seasons, assuming I don't have school on the day of the week that the show is on. Angie and I have talked about going on the couples editions, but we both know that we can't be away long enough to do it. I've wondered what it would be like, especially after this last season where many of the participants have lost 150+ pounds.

Combine my very real need to get into shape with a very strong sibling rivalry that my brother, sister and I share (even though we may not see each other or even talk to each other often), and you may have the motivation needed to finally get it done.

You see, my sister Michele, my brother Marc, and I all are big. So, one of us geniuses came up with the idea that we should have a weight loss competition in the spirit of The Biggest Loser. Here's the deal. Every week, starting on January 2nd, I will update our progress on the blog. The first one of us to lose 20% of our body weight will be the winner - or, the Littlest Lessard.

This is what we are playing for:
1) If I win, Marc and Michele have to fly me to New York and take me out to eat at one of my favorite restaurants - Gasho of Japan in Hauppauge.

2) If either one of them win, I have to fly them both down to Dallas for a dinner at Pappasitos.

That's it. We'll post pics, weight, weight loss, percentage lost, and probably talk a lot of smack in the comments. It won't matter, though. They'll lose.

My overwhelming desire not to lose to either of them will ensure that...because the trip and the dinner be damned, it's all about the bragging rights.

Well well well.....arent you and Marc a bit confident!! Well dont be suprised if older sister ( although littler sister ) comes out of nowhere and wins this thing. Good thing you let your readers know there may be alot of "smack" in your comment section. Although you didnt mention any of the "smack" they will be reading in your posts. LOL. I am sure we will all get some major support from everyone, because as much as this is a competition, the dinner and bragging rights are really only secondary to becoming Healthier for ourselves and our families. So I wish you both Good Eats and Happy Exercise! May the best Lessard win!!! ( in my book we will all be winners!!! )

Blah blah blah...

"We are all winners"...an attitude like that only guarantees one thing - that you will lose!!!

There can be only one. Or, if either one of you win, two. But definitely no more than two.

LOL
